On 30th April 2011 our beautiful baby boy Charlie was born and he has been keeping me very busy ever since! About six months after Charlie was born, I decided to think about actually trying to make my maternity top idea a reality! I have always enjoyed being creative, as a teenager I spent 2 years studying on a GNVQ Advanced Art and Design course and was awarded with a distinction. So in the latter months of 2011 I started to come up with some designs, and prototypes, and on 1st January 2012 Scrumptious Bump Maternity Wear officially launched!

I really hope you like my maternity tops! Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like me to design a maternity top especially for you with your own slogan, colour scheme or a particular theme. I have so many ideas for personalised maternity tops such as tops with the bump’s name, the baby’s due date, or the name the baby will be given when they are born written on the bump! Feel free to visit our products page and our gallery and feedback page for some inspiration!

Thanks for reading!

Best wishes,

About Us 1

When I fell pregnant in August 2010 with my first baby I was so excited and wanted to share my joy with anyone and everyone! After I got through the first trimester and started to develop a bump, I decided that I wanted, and needed, some maternity clothes. I went shopping at the MK Shopping Centre in Milton Keynes, which has many high-street clothing retailers, and I was extremely disappointed in the lack of maternity clothes, not only that but the shops that did have maternity clothing had such a limited choice.

So I then spent hours searching on the internet, and I did find maternity tops, but the vast majority of them were either really tacky or really posh and both types were expensive! I decided then that it would be brilliant if you could buy soft cotton maternity tops with cute hand-painted slogans and pretty sewn-on bits and bobs for a reasonable price. I’d always worked in the construction industry so I continued in my role as a Quantity Surveyor until I began my maternity leave and I then focussed on decorating the nursery and getting ready for our bundle of joy to arrive!
